To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, Haynes has published two aircraft manual boxed sets in association with the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF).

The books give readers a new perspective on the legendary aircraft, giving the planes the famous Haynes Owners' Workshop Manual treatment, taking complex technical information and presenting it in an easily understandable format.

Each book provides a brief history of an iconic aeroplane and provides fascinating behind-the-scenes insight into the techniques and skill required to own, restore, service and fly one of these celebrated aircraft.

Battle of Britain 70th Anniversary Boxed Set is published in time for the anniversary of Battle of Britain Day on September 15. It focuses on the three legendary fighter aircraft that came into combat with each other when the RAF and Luftwaffe battled it out over southern England; the RAF's Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane, and the Luftwaffe's Messerschmitt Bf109.

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Boxed Set, also out in September, focuses on the aircraft still operated and maintained by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight team. During the summer season the BBMF display includes five Spitfires, two Hurricanes and a Lancaster - and a manual for each is included in this boxed set.
