If ever there was a deserving recipient of the title 'Great Car', then it is surely the Jaguar E-type.
Launched to worldwide acclaim at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1961, this instantly recognisable classic went on to become a design icon of the sixties - representing the very best of British design and engineering.
To mark the E-type's 50th anniversary in March this year, respected Jaguar historian Nigel Thorley has updated this highly successful title in the Haynes 'Great Cars' series, with an expanded section on the iconic car's racing career.
Within Jaguar E-Type: Haynes Great Cars Series, 200 colour illustrations join anecdotes, curiosities and an array of facts and figures to provide a year-by-year account of the development of this classic model and its celebrated design.
These are set in their historic context by examining the motoring world at the time of the E-type's release - offering a nostalgic glimpse at an era that produced the 'the most wanted car in the world.'
