Probably wouldn't be too difficult to find some wet weather gear for your Roadster.
My new build is also a wider bodied 7 & came with a laminated windscreen.
Out of interest I offered the screen up to the roadster scuttle & it was not far off the mark.
Nothing a mounting plinth or revised scuttle wouldn't have cured.
