Default Hazard Wiring Diagram

Stumbled across this diagram and thought it might be useful when people come round to wiring up their hazards.

Thanks for confirming that is correct Ash

I've also attached a couple of diagrams here of the column pinouts which I've been finding useful. Another one to watch out for is that the sidelights are +ve switched, while the mainlights are switched -ve just to confuse things!

Hi there, just started wiring my switches up but have found that the black / brown earth going to the hi / low beam switch is always at earth, regardless of what position the side light / light on switch is in. I thought it should only go to earth once the lights are on. My lights are therefore always on but do switch from hi to low with the hi low switch
Can anyone confirm this? I think my switch is knackered.

Enoch

Forget that last post, I did not realise that the wire split in two, the other end of the unused part was shorting to earth - problem solved
