'Twenty-one may seem a young age to tell your story. In fact, it is. That is why I try to look at this from a different angle: here are two decades' worth of experiences - joy, disappointment, victories, failures, opinions, anecdotes and confessions. I am a double World Champion and the MotoGP Rookie of the Year: that forms the basis of a decent story, don't you think?' Jorge Lorenzo
Jorge Lorenzo has always wanted to be different. Since the very beginning, his journey from child prodigy to MotoGP superstar has been set apart by its uniqueness, from the Mohican hairdo he sported as a young boy learning his trade on the wastelands of Palma de Mallorca to the 'X-Fuera' overtaking move that has become part of his legend.
However, Jorge's sensational rise through the professional ranks, which started when he became the youngest rider ever to compete in a 125cc Grand Prix and peaked with his debut MotoGP victory at Estoril in 2008, encompassing two 250cc titles in between, has also been riddled with conflict and controversy. Painful splits with his father and the man who effectively took his place - manager and mentor Dani Amatriaín - were set against the backdrop of dramatic losses of form, career-threatening injuries and a bitter ongoing feud with his compatriot Dani Pedrosa.
In this remarkable story, originally written in Spanish by Ernest Riveras Tobias and expertly translated by BBC MotoGP reporter Matt Roberts, Jorge opens his heart over the experiences that he claims 'other people would not go through if they were born seven times over'. Above anything, this is a rare tale of a young man's journey of self-discovery, his quest to uncover the secrets of charisma and humility and his desire not only to become the best racer he can be, but the best person.
Jorge Lorenzo: My Story So Far was described by critics in Spain as 'a psycho-analysis, more than a biography'. Indeed, it is a story that is as unique and as different as the man himself.

One of the most riveting reads in motorcycle sport
James Whitham, universally popular and one of motorcycle racing's most colourful characters, won three British titles and for well over a decade was a world-class rider, competing in World Superbike, World Supersport, Endurance and Grand Prix. This frank, sometimes moving and always riotously funny account of his battles with the best in the sport, with hair-raising crashes, serious injuries and - most gravely of all - with lymphatic cancer, ranks as one of the most riveting reads in motorcycle sport.

'David Jefferies was quite simply one of Britain's greats.' Motor Cycle News
'On a bike he was incredible. He was probably the most naturally talented rider in the British paddock.' John McGuinness
Inscribed on the gravestone of David Jefferies is: 'Those who risk nothing do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothing'. As the undisputed master of the most dangerous race track in the world, the Isle of Man TT course, the affable Yorkshireman risked so much and achieved such legendary status before losing his life in practice for the 2003 TT. John McGuinness rated him as 'probably the most naturally talented rider in the British paddock'. This is his story.
Former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer Tony Jefferies, (David's Father) is available for interview upon request
