Jo Ramirez is one of the most-liked and respected Formula One personalities. Jo Ramirez is the updated second edition of his popular autobiography, first published in hardback in 2005, is his personal account of 40 years in motor racing, rising from mechanic to senior team management at McLaren. Jo's remarkable CV also includes spells with Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Dan Gurney's All American Racers, Porsche Gulf Sport and Tyrrell.
Writing with humour, warmth and joy, Jo Ramirez gives an honest account of the highs and lows in a career that saw him work with many of the sport's greatest heroes including Pedro and Ricardo Rodriguez, Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Mika Häkkinen. Since retirement Jo has continued his close involvement with motorsport, and he rates competing in the Carrera Panamericana as 'the best week of the year'.
