Author

Steve Anglesey's 3PM football gossip column has appeared weekly in the Daily Mirror since 2001. He is a co-creator of the popular MirrorFootball.co.uk website, having previously edited websites including Football365.com - where he originated the infamous Mediawatch column. Steve has created and edited magazines for some of the country's biggest football clubs., including his beloved Manchester City, with whom he shares an aversion to silverware - Steve has been nominated five times as Sports Diarist of the Year without winning.

He is a regular contributor to the Mirror and to FourFourTwo magazine, for whom he has interviewed everyone from Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard. His longest interview, with Ian Holloway, took 10 hours during a matchday; his shortest, with Sir Alex Ferguson, which lasted 90 seconds. His football hero and favourite interview subject was the late Malcolm Allison - Steve is still paying off the restaurant bill.
